The BC Library Association is a valued partner of the Learning Centre and of the UBC Library as a whole. It’s mission of advancing libraries together is further elaborated by its vision of leading “the library community in advocacy, professional development, and support of intellectual freedom”. It works to ensure that all British Columbians have equitable access to information, ideas, and works of the imagination.
Both the Learning Centre and UBC Library collaborate with BCLA on its annual conference held in April or May each year, as well as emerging initiatives such as the Provincial Digital Library. Through BCLA’s online distribution channels and publications we reach out and connect to over 90 other libraries around the province and beyond.
