Geoffrey Harpham is president and director of the National Humanities Center in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, the only institute for advanced study in the world dedicated exclusively to the humanities. Kathleen Woodward is Professor of English at the University of Washington and has served as Director of the Simpson Center for the Humanities since 2000. They speak on the subject of “Humanities From Here: A Dialogue about the Place of the Creative Arts and Humanities at UBC”.
