Learning Commons Coordinator, Chapman Learning Commons
Background
Lisa Popplewell joined the Chapman Learning Commons (CLC) team in September 2022 as the Chapman Learning Commons Coordinator. Prior to taking this role, Lisa was the Student Development Coordinator at the BCIT Student Association. A UBC Alumni, Lisa completed a BSc in Integrated Sciences, with a focus on Immunology and Genetics.
Current Roles and Responsibilities
In her current role, Lisa manages the planning, implementation and assessment of learning support programs and services at the Chapman Learning Commons. This includes overseeing the Learning Lounge, the Profs in Commons program, as well as the student-staff at the Chapman Learning Commons desk. Lisa is interested in supporting students with personal, professional, and academic growth and helping them achieve more than they believed possible.
