The Italian Cultural Centre Museum has completed its digitization of Ray Culos Vancouver Society of Italians Collection: Sons of Italy. The Sons of Italy was one of Vancouver’s main Italian mutual aid societies in the early 20th century. The collection includes documents from the Sons of Italy’s sister organization, the Lega femminile, enabling researchers to better understand the way that family, gender, and the public and private sphere functioned in the early 20th century for Italian immigrants in Vancouver.
The digitization of Ray Culos Vancouver Society of Italians Collection: Sons of Italy was digitized with support from the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre through its BC History Digitization Program.
