The City of Surrey Archives has completed its digitization of Surrey Leader Photograph Collection, digitizing over 10,000 negatives. The Surrey Leader Photograph Collection contains photographic evidence of the development of British Columbia’s second largest city. Surrey Leader newspaper wrote grassroots stories accompanied with photographs that documented Surrey’s transition from a largely agricultural community to the modern urban centre that it is today.
The digitization of the Surrey Leader Photograph Collection was digitized with support from the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre through its BC History Digitization Program.
