The Beaty Biodviersity Museum, UBC has completed its digitization of the Images of Natural History Specimens. The digitization captures the works of natural history illustrators in order to share them with the scientific community at large. These drawings still represent an important tool to describe the species diversity on Earth and are a necessary complement to photos, as they allow for the definition of details otherwise difficult to interpret on photos.
The digitization of the Images of Natural History Specimens was digitized with support from the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre through its BC History Digitization Program.
