This Peer Program has 25 members and the peer leaders are taught about first aid, health and safety, wellness outreach, and leadership skills in their weekly training sessions. There will be healthy snacks at each meeting, the occasional guest facilitator, and a staff or student staff person present at every training.
The UBC Wellness Centre is a drop-in resource centre for students, offering peer-to-peer information on nutrition, mental health, sexual health, addictions, and other topics.
