VIVO Media Arts Centre (Satellite Video Exchange Society) has completed its digitization of Sara Diamond: Activism & Cultural Acts in Vancouver (1974-1994). This project digitized 10 videotapes, 15 audio cassettes, 449 photo materials and 858 pages and textual materials related to Sara Diamond’s practice in Vancouver over two decades. Diamond was influential in the B.C. labour, feminist, independent video and LGBTQ2S+ movements, and was an innovator and influencer in Vancouver’s cultural community.
The digitization of Sara Diamond: Activism & Cultural Acts in Vancouver (1974-1994) was digitized with support from the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre through its BC History Digitization Program.
