Assistant Director, IKBLC
Background
Rochelle has a Master’s in Library and Information Science from Western University, and a Master of Theological Studies from Harvard Divinity School. Prior to joining the IKBLC team, Rochelle was Assistant Dean, Academic Engagement at the University of Rochester, and was an Emerging Technologies and Instructional Technology librarian at the University of Toronto Mississauga. Throughout her career, Rochelle’s focus has been trained on innovation, implementing and managing change, assessing needs and discovering opportunities, and fostering a collaborative, joyful, and compassionate space for faculty, staff, students, and our community to develop and grow.
Current Role and Responsibilities
As the Assistant Director, Irving K. Barber Learning Centre, Rochelle works with the Library and Learning Centre staff, the University and external communities, and is responsible for leading and managing the Learning Centre’s outreach and engagement initiatives and for the daily operations of IKBLC, including programs and services such as the Chapman Learning Commons and Centre for Writing and Scholarly Communication.
