Pedagogy in Place: The Shifting Landscape of Higher Education

Presentation and Q&A with Professor Peter Jamieson, Strategic Advisor Learning Environment Design,The University of Melbourne.
The idea that learning takes place in physical settings that are integral to the experience has not been reflected in the formal or informal learning spaces generally found across universities for some time.  How we view the design and use of the physical campus environment and the spaces within it should reflect our understanding of what it means to learn within the University.  As an Educator, Professor Peter Jamieson has led the design of a wide range of new generation learning environments across many institutions and in this presentation he will address the critical issues facing the role of the University campus as a place of learning in the 21st century and examine some of the formal and informal learning spaces that are being created as we rethink the process of learning on campus.
